Mexico is a country with an internationally recognized cuisine with characteristic flavors and dishes like burritos, tacos, chili, tequila, mezcal, and the list could continue. In my country, Colombia, many restaurants are named as Mexicans, which try to mimic the seasoning and flavor of this land, however, being in Mexico I have experienced that are totally different.

Xochimilco – Mexico, Land of flowers and colors

Xochimilco is one of the main attractions of Mexico talking in terms of culture and tradition. It is also one of the most colorful destinations in the Mexican territory, is located southeast of the country capital, being one of the sixteen delegations that make up the Federal District.

Guanajuato – Mexico, between alleys, stories and songs

Guanajuato is the capital of the state bearing the same name and is located in north central Mexico. It is a city with a great historical and cultural wealth, a place of mining tradition dating back to pre-Columbian time, it was the center of exploitation of metals like gold and silver. It was founded in 1546 and is considered World Heritage by UNESCO since 1988 as a cultural and historical place in a set of town and adjacent mines.

Colombia, Road trip to the Atlantic coast

In Colombia, there are many people who have never had the possibility of knowing the sea, so there are also many people who intend to do so and they make it part of a dream or a goal to accomplish before they died. However, in Colombia is particularly expensive think about air travel and worst if you have family, so one of the most common travel is to go overland to the coast to see the sea, both the Atlantic and the Pacific.

About two years ago, 3 friends and I, we decided to make a road trip in Colombia with a straight course to the Atlantic coast starting from the center of the country. Were many kilometers in a car driven by one of the members of this adventure, this was a mistake that we made, we did not ensure that no one else knew how to drive. Therefore, we spent about 10 days on the road with just a person driving the car all the time.
